Does the JIC Magic Spartan Type1 fit a G with RAS??? If not, give me a tissue and move to the next part of the post....





What's up fellas! I know it's not very "well accepted" to just ask which exhaust system I should get, but I've done countless searches, listened to I don't know how many distorted/grainy exhaust clips, and simply have to ask.

Keep in mind this will be attached to the back of a GReddy TT kit (no cats, right?) and will be on a G with Rear Active Steer.

Here's what I'm after, criteria in order of most important to less important:

1. high pitch "VQ" sound - don't like low or "muscle" for a G35 - I like the shrill scream
2. loud is good
3. makes good power to compliment turbos - low backpressure
4. at or under $1,000
5. two exhaust tips are nice, but wouldn't really mind one

From the muddled exhaust clips I've listened to, I like the tone of the Fujitsubo, 5zigen, and HKS. I haven't heard the Tanabe Medalion single pipe, single tip exhaust, but it looks like it would have a lot of sound volume and make good power due to it being almost straight as an arrow, so wondering about the tone of that one. Open to any others.

Wilder is better for this project!

Well with your RAS your options are very limited in exhausts. Maybe the Greddy EVO TT exhaust, or APS 3". With FI you NEED to go 3" piping.

How about just pipes and no muffler =X. That will be a shrill scream, loud, very low back pressure. Definitely under $1000.

 

That's how my '05 LS2 GTO rolled! Worked out nice and was plenty loud, LOL! That's why I don't care for deep "muscle" sound on the G35. It'll just never touch a 6.0L V8 with true dual exhaust, so I'm just not gonna try, hehe.

 

OK... there is hope.

I've fallen in love with the JIC Magic Spartan Type 1, with the JIC y-pipe. I heard a 350z over on YouTube with it, and it's just SICK. Perfect tone, nice and loud, and the description sounds like they have turbo equipped motors in mind.

Here's the kicker: does anyone know if it will fit a G with RAS? I sure hope so.

 

you can order Fast Intension Intimidator custom made to fit RAS and i believe it can be used on FI cars... but it may not be as loud as you want

You can always get the HFC's - metallic to adjust volume and performance of the system.. The FI cats are great!

No matter what - you'll need to drive the car a good 1000 miles before you really know how it sounds with any new catback.
