Seat Belt (Going Nuts!)
Seat Belt (Going Nuts!)
Need Help! I hate the seat belts on my g35c6mt. The latch is constantly moving to the "up" position, which makes the lap belt raise over my waist & the shoulder belt rub against my neck. I have to push the buckle toward the seat every few minutes when I'm driving. I've also notice that the shoulder belt is starting to "fry' along the guide. I'm wondering if taking off the shoulder belt guide would stop the problem of the belt raising over my waist & digging into my neck. I read in the manuel, the that sedan can adjust the belt height, but the coupe doesn't have that option. Any suggestion is much appreciated!
Re: Seat Belt (Going Nuts!)
The never ending quest for a comfortable seatbelt position. I too have the same problem I have adjusted my seat in all possible position but to no avail. I found this seatbelt clip at Walmart for about $3-5 it's a temporary fix but not a solution. It fastens around the waist area of the seatbelt about 5 to 6 inches from where the latch. It will relieve the constant rubbing that you are experiencing around your neck. Like I said it's just a temporary fix, but it's beter than nothing. Hope that helps you out.

Re: Seat Belt (Going Nuts!)
I hated the seat belt. I did so much research online and everyone was experiecing the same problem. some people tried bending the buckle inwards, other purchased paded seat belt cusions, some got that lap belt. But for me, what was really bothering was not the rubbing, but the constant pull on my shuolder.
So, what I ended up doing was I put the seat belt on, then pulled it out an inch and shoved a safety pin though it right where it slides through that extending arm. Now my seat belt doesn't retract at all! But it fits perfectly, it doesn't fall off or anything. And when I need to lean foward the seat belt still pulls out, but it never goes in beyond the point of the safety pin. It's such an easy fix and I don't have any more problems. now, instaed of pulling on my shoulder or rubbing against my neck, it rests gently on my shoulder. :-) Let me know if you need pics. It's really simple.
