Just a little Ebay help with CF Z Tube

So my CF engine cover needs a mate and I found these two links on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Nissan-350Z-Carbon-fiber-Intake-Tube-Kit-VQ35-Z33_W0QQitemZ370002291967QQihZ024QQcategoryZ42604QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
http://cgi.ebay.com/JDM-G35-350Z-DRY-CARBON-FIBER-INTAKE-TUBE-KIT_W0QQitemZ300179226082QQihZ020QQcategoryZ33638QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Of course my $ is on the cheaper one cuz if I spend 175 I can just get it from UTR.

What do you guys think? (yes I just got my xmas bonus lol).

2nd one looks way too long for OEM air box (or Stillen or JWT)... the first one bidding is closed... I'd say just get an OEM Z-Tube (paint it if you are doing under hood dress-up)...

That long Z-tube is a perfect fitment, but it might not work with your Maf sensor because some sensors were different depending on year, body (coupe/sedan).

until the HR I thought the intakes were the same... are you sure they are different? If the MAF housing doesn't fit, the long tube is far from perfect fitment. Maybe the longer tube if for the HR dual TB?...

Anyway, the OP has an 06, I really do not think that long tube will fit - I suppose I could be wrong.

If you get the long one, make sure your MAF sensor is rectangular. Some are round I think. I have a long Z tube, not by these people, but it looks to be the same size. It also has the MAF socket, so you don't need that butt ugly gray MAF sensor housing.

If you have an early 03 sedan, then I think you also get the maxima style maf. It's what I have.

Just another thing to make my car unmoddable from the aftermarket standpoint.

I wouldnt trust the maf holder on #2, go with # 1 it looks like a better option.

#1 is better option-I wouldn't mess with MAF. I have setup similar to #1 with Stillen box.

The long carbon tube looks like it is meant to just have a filter clamped onto it... thats why it has the mass air flow housing built into it... Whats the point of puting the mass air flow housing onto the longer tube so it will connect to the factory air box when it already has a housing in the tube?

I think the seller on ebay didnt mention that...

it needs a tube like what is on a cold air intake...

The long tube does not look like it is meant for the stock air box at all...

It’s rigid... it doesn’t look like a cone filter will fit in the area that the intake side is sitting... I don’t think that intake tube is designed for our car. If it is it's a **** poor design.

That piece of S*** it's a god awful product. The piece that connects the intake to the tubing BROKE it's glued in. Plus we had to CUT some of the freaking intake off to even get it to fit. I sent a email to the seller and of course no response......its a POS. Buy a ZTube and have someone cover it in CF.
