Maybe it's because the whine of my supercharger is kinda loud, but I don't get droning. If you heard how loud my previous GReddy Evo TT exhaust was, no THAT was massive droning. If my FI does drone, it is very minimal and I don't notice it.

 

I have noticed that the G35 Automatic tends to have more drone then the 6MT or even the 350Z. At the same time I have one out of every 20 say that it is bad. Sound is subjective and by adding high flow cats or resonated test pipes you will notice it more. I try to inform as many people that I can that buy the system directly through me, that if they have a G35 automatic it might drone. Everyone has still proceeded with the order. If it is unbearbale I may be able to come up with an alternative...

I've been in many G35's with different setups. And the Fast Intentions has one of the least drones. That's not to say it doesn't drone. In fact, my Fast Intentions exhaust + resonated test pipes had a good amount of drone. (I say "had" because I have gotten so use to it that I can't even tell there is a drone unless I drive a stock G35).

Going back to stock is probably the only real effective fix for those who are complaining.

Thanks for that Tony. I took a little drive earlier to see if I heard any droning and my FI exhaust doesn't drone at all. Maybe it's a 5AT thing.

 

haha!! You took the words right out of my mouth. If you think FI drones, maybe staying stock is the best alternative. My GReddy Evo TT droned SOOOO badly that I couldn't take it. It was so loud. My FI is so quiet in comparison, even being SC'd and with HFC's.
