Hi,

I recently installed a JWT Popcharger. Does anyone here know the micron rating of the filter or the filtering efficiency? I want to know if it is as good or better than the OEM filter.

I know the filter makes real world HP increase, but is it good for the engine in the long run?

If there are specs on these types of filters it's probably complex to determine since filter oil also plays a factor. (Too much oil also bad for the MAF). I'm not even sure what the rating for the OEM filter is.

Even with a filtration rating the same or higher than OEM, a filter like the Pop-Charger should flow more air, both because of it's design and because of the increased surface area. I think K&N says that even with something like 1/8 inch of crud on the outside of the filter, they flow similarly to most OEM filters.

I don't think this really answers your question, but might provide some insights.
