coupe midpipe installed

Well I put it on, and I must say I do like it, sounds much better. Nice low tone, but not too loud.

Although, I would be ok with it being a tiny bit louder! If I put on a different muffler (not a eBay cheapie) would it be a LOT louder or just a little bit louder?

I am thinking the Z-tube may be enough to keep the nice sound without going too over the top. I don't want people to hear me from a block away, or have to have the radio on full blast all the time.

Check out this thread (https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/190116-aftermarket-sedan-exhaust-compilation.html) for exhaust sound clips. Some of the clips state that a coupe mid-pipe was also installed. Many folks have gone with the HKS/Coupe mid-pipe combo and been very happy with it.

^+2 on the HKS and middy setup. I got a coupe midpipe on as well and going with the HKS rear section in the spring. It's exactly what you're looking for. when I installed my midpipe, I thought the same. It was a great sound but I wanted something with a little more "umphh." I heard the HKS and coupe midpipe paired together and it's perfect. I would highly suggest going with the HKS rear section. You won't be disappointed

Glad you are happy with it.

No, no spacer yet... Kind of iffy on that, especially because the car is still under warranty.

a spacer isnt anything but a couple bolts. if you have to take it to the factory for engine problems you can always take it off

will this really do the below in red if it is a stand-alone install.......ie no other mods except coupe midpipe?

will it affect reliability at all?

This Nissan/Infiniti intake manifold plenum spacer is dyno proven and road tested to outperform all other manifold plenum spacers currently being sold. The Skunk2 spacer effectively increases plenum volume, lowers intake air temperatures, and allows front cylinders to breath more efficiently resulting in gains of up to 10+ hp to the wheels, and increased throttle response, and over 2MPG increase in fuel efficiency. Unlike other spacers on the market, Skunk2 spacers are made from a special aerospace thermo-polymer composite that offers superior thermal insulation characteristics over aluminum spacers with aramid or other types of heat insulating gaskets. No fancy names or stages to describe or sell our spacer, just the simple fact that Skunk2 spacers keep the plenum cooler than the competition. Skunk2’s spacer is easy to install and includes all necessary hardware; including the hardware needed to bypass the water lines that heat the throttle body.

is this midpipe just a simple swap with the sedan or does there need to be modification?
