Just installed my JWT Popcharger with Z-Tube

Holy Mf-ing loud!!! I like the sound but i'm not too sure about the whistle sound when accelerating. I've got a used Injen coming soon so i'm not sure which one to use. I had a Lexus IS300 with an Injen and I liked the sound. Of course, it didn't have the whistle. Hmmm...not sure. What do you guys/gals think?

Is it really that much louder than stock? I've heard numerous opinions on it but have yet to hear one in real life.

i would've gotten a popcharger a long time ago if it wasn't for that damn useless heat shield.

It's definitely louder...much deeper.

I didn't see anything wrong with the heatshield. The only part of the install was the pain in the *** trim stripping that had to go around the holes that meet up at the stock intake in the front and on the heatshield itself.. That took me the longest. Um wear gloves. Overall the install took about 45mins. Pretty easy. Paid $204 off of eBay with shipping. Not too bad I guess.

is it louder caused by the Z-tube or the pop-charger???
ive got a z-tube and K&n drop in filter....thinking of getting an aftermarket intake system....since everyone on the forum said the intake is only for the sound,,,,

The pop charger creates the initial noise but I believe it's the Z-Tube that makes it deeper however other guys on here can probably expand on that. I was pissing off the people in my neighborhood revving around past 3k rpm. Yep, I was that retard...my girlfriend thought I was ghey. Oh well.

it's much louder than stock, but it's not super loud. I only notice the whistle now, that's the coolest part.

Stock ain't got **** on this. Sounds pretty cool especially when you go into tunnels or under bridges when you jack your RPMs up to 3K+. I can remember this sound now that I think about it....when I was in my IS300 one day I had a Subaru WRX shoot away from me with the popcharger sound. I was like WTF?! was that?? I assumed it was supercharged and there was no way I was going to drop $5K+ on something like that.

IT SOUNDS AMAZING!!! it sounds like a supercharger whine, but like 1/4 as loud, and its DEEP at the high revs.

I wouldn't go as far as to say its "much louder" than the stock airbox, but it does sound nice.

Loud? An exhaust + [resonated] test pipes is loud

.

when you took off your stock intake pipe you must have noticed the kleenex box-sized silencer attached to it... even putting on a Z-tube with stock airbox makes a pretty significant increase in loudness.

Hmm..Didn't know that. The difference than the stock intake was pretty big for me. Some folks say it doesn't but then again some people say the Stillen sounds the same or better. I guess. I've never heard Stillen.

My Injen CAI comes in today...anyone want it?
