Before you buy all those mods, look in the marketplace for good deals on used, and sometimes even brand new parts that people never used.

As another member posted, plenum spacer, z tube/drop in filter, and sway bars would be a very good start for well under $750--some handling, mild performance stuff to start you off with that is decent bang for the buck.

MREV2 and the MD 5/16 spacer, as others have said, is a great start. You'll feel the car pull better, even based on just butt dyno. I did tints, and upgraded all my front speakers and an amp next. Next up will be, Stillen true-dual catback and a Stillen intake. After that I'll do a clear-bra and to to it off, UPrev tuning in Austin. Good luck with the mod bug, it can be fun and costly BUTT, do like me and ask lots of questions around here.

hey Tulsa, fellow local here! If you do go FI hit me up. I'm considering getting a blower this month. So I'd like to see what I'm getting myself into.
I just recently within the last few days purchased a MD 5/16 spacer, test pipes and borla catback. my only mod installed is a z-tube+k&n

wow, red-g35 ive seen u around town before. im the black G that parks on the corner of 71st and memorial. nice ride, if i go FI itll be around the end of summer, i gotta move out and save up a lil extra cake. What size wheels u have btw? I was wanting test pipes, but after viewing SO many threads, i dont think i want the extra rasp and popping. so i may just get mrev2 and spacer first, then i want wheels and coilovers, then FI. i got the hook up all over town on audio so if u need any subs let me know. Nice to see another car worth a crap in Tulsa!!

thanks 2k4g35c for the helpful info, ima order the mrev2 and 5/16 spacer soon and thatll do it until i start doing the expensive mods, which will be a few months. seems like the only power gains that the Revup's can get is this combo and maybe stillen intake. im on the fence about HFC and Headers, but ehh. Im considering going FI so maybe ill have to do some of this anyways in the future

These are all products from MotorDyne 661-993-5111 located here in beautiful
SoCal and worth 20 to 30 RWHP! This is a great place to start, of course the
next mod should be a quality intake/z-tube and exhaust from www.rarejdm.com then you'll really enjoy your G35....

K. thanks gary, what intake do you recommend? it seems like the only one worth a crap is the stillen intake box/z-tube...agree?

Actually it depends what kit you get. You can get a used stillen s/c and install your self, then get it tuned for 4k. I think going FI is more cost effective than doing bolt on mods. You can do all the bolt-on mods available and it will gain what at most, 20 hp? I mean you can spend like 3-4k on bolt-on mods not to mention you still have to pay to get everything installed, then you have to get it tuned. Yet going FI, you just buy 1 kit, pay 1 time for installation, and you gain 100hp to the wheels. I was gonna stick with NA bolt-on mods because I wanted to get more speed, but I thought about it, its gonna cost me alot of money and time to just gain a few ponies, so im gonna go FI soon.
