I did a search and came up with no definitive answer to the question: which is the best exhaust system for under $1k? I know it is some what of a matter of opinion so my real question is more which exhaust gives the most HP and torque for the money? I am considering the Injen which I can get for $880 shipped. Is this system comparable to the Stillen (out of my price range)?

BRM is the same as Nismo, B&B makes both. Here's a link to a thread on NICO. I love mine and it was around $700. With the Injen CAI it has an awesome throaty sound.

How much time do you spend above 5800 rpm's compared to how much time do you spend below 3200 rpm's. I believe that you might actually decrease the performance of your car with the Injen exhaust when you're not at WOT.

Hrmm...not to start any flame wars, but I thought the Injen made 16hp and didn't have any loss throughout the power curve. I could be wrong, but someone please clear this up.

It's probably too loud to bare for day to day... but till interesting to hear...

 

to an extent SoCal is right about running true duals... All the true duals so far have been dyno-tested by SportZ magazine to lose power in the lower RPM range (BELOW ~2000).

 

Yeah, I am going to be installing the BRM exhaust and headers this summer. I've heard that they are the best bang for the buck.
