Tips on Exhaust Please..

I'm a marine who is forward deployed in iraq and I bought my beautiful 05 g35 coupe 5AT right before I left to come here. Bottom line is, I have 3-4k to play with and i was wondering if anyone could provide me with tips on the first upgrades i do to it...i mainly want intake, intake plenum, exhaust, and headers. Help Please,

Thanks

What are you looking for? Something loud, quiet, exotic or any perticular mixture of the above?

http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324350 sound clips here. if you go headers they cost alot and cost even more to put on because theyre a pain in the a$$ to put on, then you only see a couple hp out of it im thinking around 5whp. test pipes delety your catalic converters, this frees up alot of exhaust flow= more power much more than you would with just headers. exhaust is around 1k, testpipes around 150-200 (find a used set for cheaper in the classified section), spacer about 220 (i think a vendor is selling it for 201 in the classified section), then just do a k&n drop in filter and get a z tube to replace your intake tube and youre set!

Test pipes are illegal in some states unless you are offroad, so you may want to go with HFCs instead. Fast Intentions or Crawfords.

Save another $2-3K and put a standard Vortech kit in....you'll love the extra 100HP...safe HP that is.

Test pipes are illegal in all states and so are HFC's. They both do not meet emissions. But it is simple to replace when getting emission checks.

dont get test pipes they rasp and you can smell unburnt gas... go with motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer

as for intake and exhaust you will need to search fot that... its all up to you...

but i would do what ISMSOLUTIONS said...
