Stillen VS Borla, Exhaust

I have decided to go with the borla system and would like some opinions to make sure I’m doing the right thing. Although the borla is pretty deep from what I hear, it is quieter overall then the stillen which I like. On the other hand the tone of the stillen might be better and less annoying in the lower rpms? The performance between the two the stillen is marginally better and both have decent power gains. Then it comes down to the price, the borla is around 650 shipped and the stillen is around 950 shipped. Unless you can convince me I don’t see how I can justify spending the extra $300 for marginally better performance and maybe better sound.

Thanks for the help guys

Look at some other posts regarding the loss of torque with the Borla system. Someone here posted that the system was actually designed to work better with FI. If I could find the thread I would give you the link but I am just to tired and my connection at work is slow as hell....14.4

Not sure about that. Stillen uses a dual 2.5" pipe while Borla uses a dual 2.25" pipe. Stillen has a X pipe while the Borla uses a 2 in/2 out muffler.

Both probably drone if you are auto. My auto w/ Bora drones right at the cruise/shift points. A little annoying. But I'm old. haha

I have a huge thread about this. Hit my profile and click thread started by Jeff92se and it's in there somewhere.

That's what i was thinking. i was just in the market for a catback system and the stillen was $1052 + shipping. So $553 later I have a Greddy Evo2 sitting in my storage awaiting for me to go home to install it. i know the Greddy won't produce as much power as the stillen, but the reality is, I have never taken my car to a track and probably will never. It's just modding for fun for me.

I think with both systems you loose bottom end response. Also I heard both systems has some droning. As for now, I am sticking with the stock exhaust and getting HFC's.

I have the Stillen and love it, looks, sound, build quality... total package. i did like the look of the Borla BUT it just doesn't sound like a VQ.
