According to COBB Tuning, EVERY intake they've tested (Stillen, Injen, JWT, AEM) including their own intake, messes with the A/F ratios to the point that the engine often looses a little power. I've always respected companies with honesty like this. There aren't many out there.
The reason why I asked, was b/c before I had the G I had a rsx. The stock airbox was sealed and had baffling and a small conical filter. I purchased a Mugen carbo fiber intake box and snorkel, which basically was a carbon fiber stock box gutted and completely smooth on the inside, with a snorkel that went to the grill for ram effect. The filter used on the Mugen was a large flat panel. Mugen claimed that in addition to allowing more air, the flat filter when sealed, provided less pressure drop than the stock setup exhibited.
