Installed my Injen CAI

And I am loving it. It sounds more aggresive, and the car difinitley feels more responsive with a touch of the pedal.

My mechanic guy said if I was worried about water getting in the engine which was very low/unlikely, I can convert my Injen CAI from long ram intake to short ram. In all my searchs I don't recall anyone saying this, but I did notice the extra piece of piping that reaches down to the front bumper is just a bolt on to the shorter arm.

Also, we decided to not put the foam back on that sits behind the mesh at the bottom of the bumper, from the looks of it it doesn't look like it does anything and only blocks more air from getting in the intake. So we left that side off, and kept the opposite side on. Now if you look really good you can see the head of my intake sitting behind the mesh.

I will post pics tomorrow since it's night now.

if you're worried about getting water into your intake I believe you can order a bypass valve from AEM's that will automatically close off that end of the intake if water gets in there.

Taking the bumper off

Hey guys can you help me.
I installed the injen sp1993 CAI w/ MR Tech and it is beautiful.
One problem I can't get my bumper off to finish the install.
So now I'm running it as a short ram.
Also, as a short ram I'm running rich. ToT
Can someone tell me or send me a link to how to take the bumper off?
Also did anyone else run rich after the install?
Thanks
Charles

From observing my mechanic, you've got like 10 screws at the bottom and some others to the side. You have to reach in between the front tire well and the bumper to remove the remaining side screws. Hope this helps.

Or better yet, take it to a professional.

Oh, also don't forget the screws under the hood that the bumper fastens onto.
