Re: SSR intake manifold

There's a thread stating it will be for sale for about $600, and should show gains of up to 20WHP.

Re: SSR intake manifold

20HP looks like it will be used up by the 10,000lbs increase in wieght.

Is it me, or those that thing look heavy!

Re: SSR intake manifold

i doubt i can get 20whp off this mod.... but i really hae the stock design. I believe its highly flawed. I would worry about my front 2 cylinders. Anyhow, i want this manifold. It is the best designed one yet. Those others seem very tacky. When can i get my hands on one? when will it be posted on the SSR website?

Re: SSR intake manifold

SSR Engineering is in the process of getting the manifold mass produced so they can lower costs, the manifold right now is at a pricing of 1000-1100MSRP.

And no this is 100% aluminum its lighter then stock.

Re: SSR intake manifold

that thread says that its made for FI apps, not for NA apps.... that means it wont do much for us with no turbos/SC's

Re: SSR intake manifold

there is a thread over at my350z.com aobut this aswell and they were all saying that the short little tubes on the bottom (forget the tecnical name) + the low volume uper chamber would = a loss of torque down low but a gain in HP up top. But that pirce is way to much for that. And they said it was going to be compatible with FI and NA. but mostly for FI

Re: SSR intake manifold

It is my strong belief that you will lose alot of low-mid range torque, but will gain a little top end. NOT worth it IMO. If it was a good product, i am sure they would have posted dynos by now, it has been out for a couple of months.
