E-bay intakes

Hey guys I was just on e-bay browsing around and looking for intakes for my 05 g35 coupe. I ran accross this guy that was selling a generic 3"cold air intake. Its made from T304 aluminum and has a rewashable filter. The price is like 50 bucks. I need some opinions please because I could always swap the air filter for like a weapon r and still save over a $150 dollars. Thanks.

The ebay intake tube will absorb heat more because it is made of metal, making the air your engine pulls in hotter, which you will then in turn cause your car to lose HP. Just get a Z-Tube and JWT Popcharger, it's the best bang for the buck and should run you between 120-150 depending on if you buy it new or used.

You know what I was thinking of the same thing, but aren't AEM and Injen aluminum as well? I like the Jwt pop charger, but when I saw the ebay deal it opened my eyes and i started getting curious

That is why he recommended the JWT Popcharger, it uses the stock intake tubing. If you do a search you will find intakes might give you about 3-5 hp at most. I say start with a z-tube first (gets rid of some of the stock G resonators) and a K&N or Ansoil Nano filter; see if you like the additional noise . Then try removing the resonators under the stock intake box for additional noise. If you want more noise, then go with the JWT for what some say has the best intake noise. Some will say the Injen sounds better, but it is all personal opinion.

Remember 5 hp on a car with 280 hp is a 1-2% power increase and you will not notice it.

Thanks for the advice guys. I am still debating over the jwt pop charger and the weapon r intake. I heard from different guys that cai do lose power in our g35, so thats why I am going wih a short ram intake for sure. i think ebay is a great site for modding cuz they have good prducts for cheap, for example i just picked up 06 headlights for 300 shipped w/ the hid bulbs and ballast. I just wasn't sure about the intakes for 30 bucks. Has anyone here heard or used obx prducts?
