Just wanted to know from the Coupe owners who HAVE installed the Borla Dual Cat back..........are you pleased with the sound and performance if any?

Has anyone dynoed it ? with positive gains?

Do you feel any more performance?

Are you pleased with the sound more than stock?

I have the Exhaust and Headers and could not be happier with the combo. Sounds great!

Love my Borla TD exhaust. It's a little louder, and deeper than stock but not too loud. (I hate drones).
Power increase in the mid to upper rpm zones but that's typical of aftermarket parts. I think the dyno showed about 8hp and 5tq. which was one of the best in the comparo I saw.

I've heard many compliments on the Borla exhaust from local owners, employees at the dealer, etc.. really haven't heard any big complaints so far.
Some people would like it to have been polished (this you could do youself if you really wanted), and an X pipe may have been a tad better than their H-pipe setup, if you start looking at the little details. But in the grand scheme, this is a great exhaust!

Wasn't that hp gain also right after install, before the ECU had any time to adapt to any of the changes?

I love it. Nice tone to it. Especially cruising with it around 1600rpm. Almost sounds like a V-8 for a second. lol I installed the JWT Pop and Z-tube and the Borla TD, and picked up on a Ford Mustang Dyno 16lb's of tourque and 13 horses. 3 Runs... All with the car warmed up. Before and afters...

Justin, The hp and torque gains for the Borla I quoted are from a shootout staged by StrictlyZ last summer. I don't believe there was any ECU resets done at the time.

Yes the system could have been polished, and the system could have been X-pipe designed, but then it would have been more $$ too.
I'm very happy with what I got for my money. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Yeah, that's the same test I've seen.

And yes, I agree about the Borla. I don't mind so much about looks under the car so polished isn't a big concern for me. The X pipe would be nice (or even burns stainless collectors and fancy parts like that for that matter) but I don't know many people who are willing to spend the money on that fancy stuff, for only a couple hp :-P
