JWT Pop Charger/Z-Tube

Hey I have had my '04 5AT Coupe for almost 2 months now and I feel like its time to start modding. After getting my black grille, I was thinking about getting a JWT Pop Chrarger/Z-Tube combo under the hood.

First, is this a good choice as far as brands and pricing go? Second, can I install them myself and/or put the stock parts back in whenever i trade in my car?

Note: I am NOT looking for PERFORMANCE from these mods, mainly just SOUND.

The JWT pop charger and z tube are one the most popular intakes amongst us G owners. The ztube and pop charger are pretty simple to install. Should take about 30-40 minutes max with the right tools.

Honestly I have no experience with this kind of thing though. I see that they both come with instructions but should i just ask my friends brother (he used to have a boosted IS300) or take it to a professional?

Ragin's right. I got my bundle from everythingg35.com
Came with the Z-Tube, Heatshield, and JWT Pop Charger. Instructions were included, as well.
With the right tools, you should be able to do it in 30-45 minutes.
It's definitely not a dramatic performance mod. But, it sure sounds a lot nicer than stock.
The Z-Tube gives it a deeper growl on medium to heavy acceleration.
The Pop Charger will let your engine breathe better and you can hear a lovely whistling noise from the Pop Charger under medium to heavy acceleration.
You will be able to remove the Z-Tube and Pop Charger and replace with stock at any time.
I think this mod is the best intake mod for your money. You're looking at no more than $215 shipped to your door. Z-Tube, Heat Shield, JWT Pop Charger, and Filter Oil.

If I had a brand new G35... I'd definitely get this mod, again. No regrets. Definitely worth it.

If your friends brother did a lot of the work on the is300 by himself then he should be able to install the intake on your G. Check out the marketplace here and you can find some great deals. I got my combo for $105 shipped.

Oh I just read that sticky at the top about rubbing the A/C Line .

I guess I'll just go buy something to cover the A/C Line with then?

What did you guys use?

Edit: Is buying a used one just as good as buying a new one? I mean, does it really matter, because the price difference I've found between new and old is close to $100 .

I just found this in the Marketplace forum and it seems like a good deal to me but again, I am pretty inexperienced when it comes to this.

screwdriver and a 10mm socket and 20-30 minutes ...just did the install a few weeks ago and it was a breeze...loosen the clamps and the oem intake, take out a couple pop rivets, reinstall the new one and tighten everything down...rotate the z-tube counterclockwise to avoid rubbing the ac line...plug the MAF back in and enjoy
