Getting Exhaust A Little Louder

I had posted a thread previously about my exhaust not being quite as loud as it used to be. I had installed the MD 5/16" spacer and it was fine for about 2 and a half days. I had gone to a friends house to pick up rims and about 4 hours later I drove off with the rims and I noticed the sound significantly decreased, no clue why (primarily in the 1 - 4k rpm range and when the vehicle is turned on and off.

Anyhow, I would like to get it back to where it was or close to so I was wondering what things can be done to the exhaust system to make it a little louder?

I was thinking test pipes, but not sure if resonated test pipes would be the way to go. And between test pipes and high flow cats, what would be the difference between the two?

change your exhaust to injen if you want to go loud, test pipes makes the sound raspy i didn't like them.

I plan to go with the MD exhaust in the future, so I figure I'd wait on that rather than buy a new exhaust. But as far as resonated test pipes and high flow cats go, just wondering the difference I would see between the two as far as which would get louder and if it would be significantly louder than what is current.

Test pipes triple the loudness immediatly.
HFC's and resonated test pipes pretty much do the same.

If you plan on using the XYZ pipe with the associated catalytic converter, use regular test pipes.

If you plan on using the XYZ pipe with the associated resonator, use regular test pipes or HFC's.

But either way, HFC's or test pipes will jack up the loudness.

So it might be better to just hold off on this and wait till the MD exhaust comes out. Saves me some money and I guess I can deal with it for some time. Keeps some green in my pocket as well.
