Where are you located?

If you're in a very wet environment, stay away from a CAI which could get all water-logged if it's located low in the wheel well, etc..

In my humble and uneducated opinion, the Pop Charger probably is not the best at sucking in cold air after the engine heats up a bit... I'm just basing that on the design, and how it isn't really set up to avoid air from the engine bay. BUT, it is designed to suck in a lot more. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

The Pop/Z combo is pretty good at freeing up the intake of air, which is the best thing you can do (next to throwing on an exhaust to let it flow back OUT). A CAI will get you similar if not better gains, but you're going to have to worry a bit more about maintenance.

Don't be so afraid of the CAI's like the Injen. You will now suck water into the engine by driving in the rain, don't listen to people who say that. I don't want to say it's impossible, because anything is possible, but it is ALMOST impossible let's say. Unless you're driving and your car is underwater, then you won't have a problem. The intake pipe is too long from the filter up to the plenum that the suction will never be strong enough unless like I said, your filter was totally underwater and you were at wide open throttle. That said, Tadashi from Technosquare also prefers the cai systems over the jwt popcharger which sucks in the warm air from under the hood. Tadashi is well respected for his work and thoughts. As far as JWT goes, I am waiting for their TT system to come out so if you ever plan on going TT you can't do the intake now because it will be replaced by the turbo kit. I will have to sell my injen cai.

Z-tube with modified stock airbox. For the air box you can simply remove the power duct piece and the bottom resonator. I used some foam weather stripping tape to seal up the airbox to the hood. best value in my opinion. Adds great sound and a little grunt to boot. Best thing about it is that you don't have to worry about screwing up your AC with the rubbing on the aluminum AC lines like some intakes do. Also you get the advantage of cold air without the worries of water infiltation.

Z-tube plus K&N High-Flow filter! You maintain the ram air effect of the OEM design, you get a great sound at WOT, and it's affordable. Plus, no worries about taking in water or loss of torque at low RPMs. The OEM design is pretty good IMHO and lends itself to a ram-air effect at speed. Stillen's design takes advantage of this *and* makes an effort to keep warm air out via the compartment that houses the filter. IMO the pop-charger, while clearly a popular choice, falls victim to bringing warm air in. My choice would be in this order: Z-tube/K&N, Z-tube/Stillen, Nismo CAI, Z-tube Pop-Charger, Injen CAI.

So the stillen and pop show a loss in low end power? Is this true?
