Good point. That's a single.

I asked my exhaust guy who has been building custom exhausts for race cars for years and he said "that's too much, he's loosing power compared to dual 2.5." "If he were boosted that would be different."

It doesn't matter if they run a single. Each 3" side merges into a 3.5" single and they run long tube headers and I'm running stock headers.

So that car has a lot less back pressure IF any at all than my setup and still makes more power.

Here is an NA 350z with an AAM dual 3" which is identical to mine.

Still running stock cats. Putting on raspy test pipes would of ruined sales.

Seems to be right at home with the setup and pulls okay.

That's one ugly body kit.

Have you been here before. I think I recognize you.
Yes I was here 2 years ago.
Did you have the same car?
Yes I had a 2004.
So you like this car?
Yes I love it. It's very fast.
So you did all the modifications?
Yes. I cut the pipe and helped someone else weld it with a tig welder.

This guy unlike other techs actually checked underneath the car and saw the test pipes and divorced pipes. Still inexperienced so he thought they were cats and asked me if they are cats and I said "Yes. They are metallic."

And the registration fee I paid this month. For home owners it's tax deductible.
Plate Name: Prestige
Special Tag Fee: $25.00
Tag Fee: $20.00
Ad Valorem Tax: $191.26
Vehicle Total: $236.26

Nice build, may I ask where you got your exhaust bolts from? I'm missing some for my HKS exhaust and was curious if I can find one locally at home depot or something, or do I have to contact HKS directly?

I already posted where I got everything from and I don't remember the name of the place off the top of my head right now.

Going to make some changes to this exhaust soon. I found an exhaust leak recently near some 2 bolt flanges and decided to go with 3 bolt flanges. The passenger side will get reworked as it's touching underneath the car and it's my fault.

2 3 bolt flanges here and 2 more at the shop. 2 reusable aluminum gaskets and bolts. 2 100% authentic stainless steel flex pipes to cut down on vibration.

This exhaust could also be for sale after I make the changes.

I would but as of right now the motor is **** and there is no point. If I had a good motor my guess is I would around the 270ish whp range. I might make a run this weekend for old times sake.

And I also need to remind people that a Revup has variable exhaust valve timing (since one of the reasons it's a Revup) so there is no need for an X pipe to equalize exhaust pressure. Now if the car had an old school Chevy small block then I do agree that an X pipe would be required and not optional.

The flex pipes are Chinese and they are the best I could find at $29/piece with the guarantee that they are stainless from Columbia River. The Megan is made in Taiwan and the rest is made in the US. The only parts that are mild steel are some of the flanges from the Megan. The Megan piping is stainless. Most manufacturers make exhausts with mild flanges and claim 100% stainless which is a flat out lie.

And it's not a catback because that would mean the cats would still be in and they are not and it rasps because of the stock headers which are too small for the rest of the exhaust. If I had longtube headers it would sound a lot better.

I have yet to find dual tip mufflers with a 3" inlet and true dual 3" outlets.

Overall though I have no complaints about the Megan exhausts.
