When should I clean my filter on my CAI? Or can it even be cleaned or do I need to buy a new filter?

 

Injen recommends 13k miles to clean and re-oil.

I just did mine at 10 and it was pretty dirty. Get a K&N filter recharger kit and follow the directions. Don't use 2 much oil either.

So we have to take off the bumber off again?

 

Never took my bumper off for the Injen install. Took out the fender liner and massaged it through the old air box housing. Didnt hurt it at all.

I took the tire off and pulled down the black plastic tire wells. Then I unscrewed the ancor bolt and worked it out. Make sure you don't ram it and bend the wire fins on the filter.

I clean mine every time I change my oil. I does get fairly dirty quickly.
