Re: Interesting Fujitsubo Exhaust Finding
I went to the Performance Nissan web site and they offer
the JIC / BULLET Y-Pipe only. Is this the one you bought?
2003 TwBlue 5AT Sedan, sunroof,
Graphite Leather, splashguards, HKS exhaust,
14 wire Grounding kit, 350Z duct, Stillen CAI
Underbody rear diffusers, Drilled alum pedals

Re: Interesting Fujitsubo Exhaust Finding
Clint,
Seems like you may have another sedan exhaust system option. I thought your (before y-pipe) system sounded different (better) in person than it did in your sound clips.
What was the cost for your new Fujitsubo y-pipe and exhaust? The "here" link you provided said it was $1300.00.
BTW, are you planning to post the sound clips or comment on your sound tests of alagolfers and my Stillen exhaust systems?

Cato,
Give Jason at Performance Nissan a call. I'm not sure why it's not in their website.
Dave,
If I read it correctly, $1300 is what the owner paid for, but he's seeling for $875.00. btw ... this is for the Coupe.
I will try and edit the video and have it posted.

-Fish,
The Nismo and Fuji- produces a "killer" sound IMO!!! Borla is less than exciting from what I've heard on sound clips and from what I've read in other peoples reviews. I've heard the Injen in person and that is one loud sum-a-bich. Don't forget to factor in the "tone" you're looking for too when considering cost...
Also, remember that Fujitsubo makes NISMO exhausts. NISMO is the only exhaust in the dyno exhaust comparison that did not lose hp and torque in the low rpm range, that's something else to consider. Borla lost both hp and torque in the low rpm range, and then made up for it on the high end.

Re: Interesting Fujitsubo Exhaust Finding
Neff,
Yeah, I want quiet though. Especially after the plenum, headers, and cats I don't want to get too crazy. IMO, it's already just right with the Z tube alone. I'm afraid the Stillen (almost no TQ loss on the low end) will just be too loud.
The Borla is much lighter, now whether or not that weight trumps the TQ gain, I don't know. I'll wait and see how she sounds after "The Package" and how much dough I have left. I reserve the right to change my mind AGAIN
. Heck, last night I started day dreaming about the Zex nitrous system (eckkkkk). At any given point in the day, it's between Borla, Stillen and Fuji....we'll see. I'm anxious to see your Y pipe review.

Cata,
As I've posted above ... this person is alledgely selling BOTH the Fuji Y-Pipe and Exhaust for $875.00. Looks like a good deal to me aside from whatever blemish it has from an accident.
Check it out ... it might be worth a shot.

Re: Interesting Fujitsubo Exhaust Finding
As you may already know, there was a group buy on the Fuji exhaust and y-pipe a couple months ago through Gruppe-S. Apparently, the group buy prices (shipped) for the exhaust was 745.00 and the y-pipe was 389.00, which is a considerable savings over list prices.
If several on this board or others e.g. my350z are interested in these products, maybe we can inquire about another group buy. Anyone have any experience with how to commence a group buy? Do we just have to call a distributor such as Performance Nissan or Gruppe-S and express interest?
Anyone interested?

Re: Interesting Fujitsubo Exhaust Finding
I'm in ...IF... THE EXHAUSTS ARE IN STOCK (none of this 3-4 month shipping from Japan crap) and the price is $745 or less for the exhaust including shipping. I don't need the Y-Pipe, since my JIC is due in 10 days...
I think you just call someone and try to work out a deal. There is Grupe and there is Jason at Performance Nissan. Maybe there is a sponsor or two on this board that will chime in. You also want to inquire about the new Fujitsubo exhaust for the Sedan. This might help us get our numbers up a little higher.

Neffster,
If I'm not mistaken, you have dealt with Jason at Performance Nissan in the past. Therefore, would you mind asking him if he would be interested in sponsoring a group buy on the Fuji Exhaust (coupe & sedan) and y-pipe?
