Re: Stillin vs Injen CAI

There is not much of a numbers difference between the intakes from what I have seen. Injen being the best putting out I belive close to 12 or 13 hp. The others are more around 8 or 9 hp. I ordered my Injen and it should be here in a few days or so.

Re: Stillin vs Injen CAI

I have already installed the Injen RD1990 CAI in my Fathers 2003.5 G-35 Sedan. Took us a few hours to take off the bumper cover and take out the Stock Airfilter system. Plus put in the Injen system and line all the piping up and put everything back together. Starting the engine and reving to 4-5 grand It's pretty quiet. On the test drive getting on the freeway Stomped down on the Gas and Enjoyed the Rush of Acceleration and the ROAR from the Intake. I would Highly recomend the INJEN CAI Built well, Looks Good! All Polished Aluminum Piping and Red Silicon Hoses.....

My import guy's shop. I already have my springs. I am waiting on my intake, exhaust and rims. Once all that gets here I am going to bring it to his shop, so I can leave it for a few hours and then go home with my Coupe slammed with my 19's and roraing with intake and exhaust. Woohoo I cannot wait!!. Pest where are you from.

Re: Stillin vs Injen CAI

I had my Injen CAI installed over the weekend. I was able to test it out after the rains. There are a couple of things that I noticed. There is more engine noise with the Intake at 4000+ RPMs (sounds meaner), although you cannot here from inside the cockpit. And the other thing which was huge or still testing is the increase 2+ MPG. (went though a 1/2 tank already and saw my avg jump up) I am driving a bit more aggressively since I like hearing the sounds. This really helps since I am paying over $2.30 in gas.

Re: Stillin vs Injen CAI

The Injen CAI is made by Injen. The K&N CAI is made by K&N.

So far, the only difference we know about is the Injen is available, and the K&N isn't out yet. Until it is, I suppose we'll have to wait for the answer to your question. The only person on this forum who seems to know about the K&N is apparently under a non-disclosure agreement and can only tell us he believes it's worth the wait.
