Generally speaking, SRI will give you some low end gains, almost nothing top end. CAI will give you higher overall gains, some low end loss, and good top end gains.

But CAIs/SRIs do nothing for our cars, the stock intake has proven to be the best performance wise. So if you buy a CAI or SRI, research sound clips and pictures, and just buy based on cosmetics.

Short rams like the AEM are susceptible to heat soak. You won't notice any loss in the winter when the temps are low, but when it gets hot out, you will have a very noticeable loss in power and response due to the heatsoak.

Heat shields are pretty worthless as a defense against heat soak, but at least we have an ram air piece for intakes with heat shields like the JWT or Stillen...

IMO the nismo CAI is the best for the money, good gains in the mid to high range.

Short ram I'd use more on a rainy day or such and CAI for normal days , saying that the stock intake box has been proven to be better than a aftermarket intake, I'd like to see the sheets or proof for that

The Nismo CAI has had some good gains on it and by far better than stock . I mean look at the stock box, tons of air flow restriction, while a CAI or short ram is straight through flow....

Anyways my 2cents so its just something to think about.

Goodluck on what ya pick man

Z tube/ K&N filter... Safest and best performing out there.

ANYTHING that has to deal with the pop charger blows. I had it and switched to AEM cold air.. felt a huge difference... the pop charger heat soaks a lot.

Are the intakes from E-bay really authentic? I've been kind of hesitant buying any parts from ebay for the fear of it being an imitation.

Fujita F5 is not an ebay intake.. They are great sounding quality intakes... Its just that ebay is offering the best price on them.

they ebay tubes are the best quality in the world, but a lot of g owners have gone in and bought one just for the intake tube to add it along with whatever filter they add to the front end of the intake...
