How much does an HR Z y pipe cost? is it direct fit?
If you go with the Borla TD then you won't need a y-pipe.

I'll have a Nismo y-pipe for sale in a few days, I don't need it b/c I have the XYZ pipe.

Be patient and wait for the Motordyne sedan catback. It should be well worth the wait if you want a catback plus you can set it up numerous ways depending on your mood for the day.

^i imagine though that would probably cost close to $1,000.

What is better, HFC+Coupe Middy+HKS. or a full borla catback.

I honestly cant decide and this Borla is a pretty good deal...

HellaFly: im still waiting on the front lip. I scrap on my driveway now the way my car sits. Im not sure if i want to spend $300 then rip it off on the driveway.

It might be a winter project though (my car is getting stored)

I had the Borla TD for a short time. I couldn't stand it. It was too loud from 1500rpms to 5000rpms (then sounded like stock), caused vibration and harshness in the cabin because it lacks y-pipe flex sections, I felt sorry for my son riding in the back seat, and I didn't notice any gains. You're young so maybe you'll like all that noise and compromising some NVH.

If it were me and I wanted the most bang for the buck, I'd wait for the MD exhaust. With the MD setup, you can run TPs, the MD y-pipe, downstream single cat, and midpipe/muffler. That setup will gain you a bit more power than a Stillen/Borla catback and HFCs. Both will be just as noisy too, but at least MD saw the need for flex sections in the y-pipe. You'll also get an entirely adjustable exhaust system. In the end, you'll probably pay $500 for everything, but you'll have more power and adjustability. To me, that would be worth it.

k, so then right now, i should just get a plenum and wait for the MD?

This is the second thing im confused about. Plenums.

I hear there are different kinds for cold weather, warm weather, ect.

Which one will work, up here in the cold north, and give me the most power gains?

Thanks to everyone, btw, for all the information. i feel like a newb all over again.
