The Z tube is a simple and effective mod. It was the first one that I did. By itself with everything else stock, I could tell that there was slightly less fall-off of power in the very high RPM's. Just barely enough to tell, but enough to make the mod worthwhile (it took me 10 minutes to install, including putting the tools away).

Z-tube is best bang for buck IMHO.

I would also recommend highly the K+N filter. The only (extremely rare) problems I've ever seen are with user error over-oiling due to the unclear instructions in the kit. The flow increase over stock paper elements is nothing short of phenomenal.

I've had 3 different intakes on my car and the Nismo (similar to the Injen) is miles farther from the A/C line than my Z tube/JWT Pop. Whether it rubs has more to do with the quality of attachment at your throttle body. 1 MM at the throttle body makes a 1/4 diff at least at the A/C line.

I could also measure no differences in HP between the 3 with my G Tech Pro Comp, margin of error about 3 HP.

My decision ended up being "which I preferred to look at with the hood open". I ended up Nismo cause that shiny black tube and emblem look great with the black plenum. It should complement the red Samco hoses well too.
