Fits no problem. Try removing the resonator on the bottom of the OEM air box before you re-install it for some extra growl.

Re: Z tube with K&N filter

sorry for sounding,, dah! what is the resonator, is that the box that plugs into the hole that you see when you remove the OEM system to replace it with an aftermarket? if you have done this, did you replace an after market CAI or went straight to the OEM and Z/k&N?

Re: Z tube with K&N filter

This is it, Just take it off of the OEM airbox. You may want to plug the hole at the bottom of the airbox once it's ben removed. Check out this thread for more info

Re: Z tube with K&N filter

thanks for the thread and pic....reason i want to do this is to get more low end torque, but reading the threads i've concluded that it growls better but not a better response than an aftermarket. I may be incorrect about this thoe...

Re: Z tube with K&N filter

i think the primary purpose of that is to trap large dirt particles and junk so that it doesnt get in the way of the air filter... i highly recommend not to remove this piece. although removal will make the engine sound louder, it will also make the air filter much dirtier and trap more particles, needing to clean it more often...
i have the K&N drop-in and am getting the Z-tube in 2 days, im leaving that "resonator" in...

Re: Z tube with K&N filter

Yeah I kept mine in... I vacumed out my stock air box because it was still full of dirt and junk... I would leave it as I do not think that any gains in sound or performance are worth it.
