Removing Muffler

A while back I had the HKS axle back with coupe middy. I took it off because I was going to install a full custom catback but I have decided to hold off on it. Before putting the stock muffler back on I thought I'd take a spin around the block.

It didn't sound much louder than the HKS until around 5k rpm and higher, with a lil more rasp. I am sick of the stock muffler and I really would like to get the louder exhaust tone back.

I was wonder if I were to do a muffler delete, would I lose gas mileage, bottom end, top end, or anything else (provided my driving habits remain the same)?

There are no performance drawbacks to removing the muffler.

The difference is you will gain about 3-4 HP and a whole lot of db's.

Sounds good. Thanks for the input. Long as there's no loss I'm fine with that. I'm not too worried about noise since I hardly ever go past 3k rpm.
