Based on overall quality of fabricated product and material, between the Nismo Short Ram intake (converted to Short Ram off of CAI pieces detached to shorten full length) and a OEM ZTube intake tube, which would be a better set up to install with a K&N drop in to G35 OEM air filter housing box?

Nismo seems to be some sort of metal kind of material (black in color) where the OEM ZTube is plastic/rubber. Which of these aids more with the heat factor under the hood?

Any assmptions on sound tone?
