why is everyone on driver acting so surprised? these long tubes have been known for weeks on my350 with great enthusiasm. i'm just gonna sit back and see the goodness that comes out of their development.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Sorry its taken me so long to post here, I'm not on this forum as frequently as I'd like to be.

The Longtubes install easier than any other aftermarket header because each primary is a single pipe that slips into the collector. Not even the steering shaft needs to be removed!!

pm price for the longtubes and the coast fab headers. Can you guys have them jet hot coated?

Do you have a dyno overlay of both headers?

Hi Sasha... Nice to see you over here on the G side of the world.

What size exhaust do you recommend for your headers? Is it worthwhile to try a set of 2.75" exhausts on an NA VQ35 yet?

Nice job fabbing the CAI...

Thanks!

I feel that a single 3.5" exhaust is the best size for a high HP N/A VQ (320whp+), you could then split that into dual 2.75" and have two mufflers in line if you wanted.

If you do go dual you must have a good X pipe that merges the pulses efficiently. I don't know enough about X pipe tuning to be able to recommend a distance back from the collectors, but I would imagine it is in the same location you would put a Y-pipe.

Singles are also lighter, and typically sound better than duals in my opinion!

The only dyno overlay I have of both the coast header and the SG header is below, but it is with our terrible 2.5" dual H-Pipe exhaust, so it is very difficult to see the gains, as the change in header sizing affected the wave tuning (the BAD wave tuning) that the H-Pipe was doing in the exhaust, so the torque is bouncing all over the place.

Our production headers will not use 2" collectors nor with they use a 2" step in the primary, so the low end losses will not be as significant. Rather, there will be a happy medium between the Coast headers and the SG 2" race headers:

+1... it’s old new really...

I use 350Z NA build thread for majority of quality info... some of the "driver" members don’t realize there is a world of enthusiasts outside of this forum doing WAY more than any of us here have.

don't hate!

Just joking I'm thinking of going SC or full N/A.

I would go turbo again, but there were too many nightmares for me.

I don't want to go through that again.

Sorry to go off topic Sash do you have a pic of both headers side by side and ETA on production and price of either one?

I'm definately interested in your longtubes.

I know that yours are better (actual dyno) what is the major differences between yours and the Megan longtubes and your coast fab headers to all the other headers for our cars?
