injen exhuast w/x pipe
would it be possible to add in x-pipe to the injen exhaust, by removing the h and replacing it with the x it seems like it might be limited room. has anybody done this?
I believe it's been done on the Z more than a few times. It also depends on which X pipe you use. A straight X pipe is pretty small while a resonated X pipe (looks like a 2in/2out muffler but with a true x pipe inside) are usually longer. But you might gain some room if you go with the resonated X and dump the Injen resonators?
The only problem I see is that the H pipe is welded in right at the bends of the downpipes. But any shop should be able to handle it.

yeah i tryed it but it didn't work too well their was still drone issues so, I scraped it and bought a fast intentions exhaust it already has a resonated xpipe built into it no drone either well worth the money.
Was the X-Pipe a Magnaflow #11385? I just installed my exhaust yesterday and it has a lot of drone but it doesn't bother me that much. I do have a lil rasp on mine since I do have test pipes added in. I thought I might try to make it a lil quieter and maybe eliminate the lil rasp that I have. The rasp dropped by 50% since the install of the new exhaust.

now that i remember it was non-resonated xpipe just before the the resonators on the injen, if your trying to add a resonated xpipe you would have to cut out the h-pipe and resonators on the injen and replace with magnaflows resonated xpipe.
kinda like what dcityjatt did to his xo2 different exhaust same principal.

That's what I was planning on doing. The diamater of the pipe is 60mm which is 2.38". Would I need to get a 2.5" or 2.25" X-Pipe muffler? If that doesn't work completely maybe another resonator down the pipe but from what I have been reading and researching is that that X-pipe is a miracle worker lol. So maybe hopefully in a month I will have it on and will post sound clips of before and after. How much should I be looking at to replace all of that?
