Stillen or FI HFC's?

Gonna drop a Bassani exhaust this week and thought I might as well add cats after I do this. Did some research here and on www.my350z.org and it seems that both cats seem to add hp when put together with a full catback. I was only able to find actual dynos on Stillens (9-10h.p. gain), but nothing on F.I. cats. Anyone done any dynos on F.I. cats that they can chime in with? Thanks.

F.I is one of the more reputable & popular products on 'driver.

IMO, F.I HFC>Berks HFC> Crawfords > Stillen

I would recommend any of the first 3. But I have never heard anything good about the Stillen HFC. They make great products, but their HFC just don't seem to fair well compared to others.

Stillen used to sell random technology cats... those were know to fail... since then Stillen has introduced their own - I haven’t seen any reviews of their version... I think ppl are leery based on old reviews of the RTs.

OP, if I didn’t already have Crawford, I wouldn’t hesitate to go with Stillen's current version.

I wonder who Stillen subcontracted to make their HFCs this time?

when they sold RTs they were never named "Stillen"... people just always called them Stillen... but since the RTs had so many problems Stillen started offering their own... As far as who they "sub contracted with" - they aren’t slapping their name on an existing product - its Stillens product, same as their heat shield, sway bars, etc... it doesn’t mean they make them perse' - but neither do most manufacturers... Tony doesn’t machine his MREV products himself, or spacers, etc... but they are Motordyne products.

Anyway - I'd like someone to get the Stillen HFC, I'm anxious to see how they are (secretly hoping they aren’t good so I feel bad about not having them, but I strongly suspect they perform well)

FI hands down.... if money is no factor.
I had crawfordz HFCs and they broke on me, so I replaced them with Top Speed resonated test pipes. Exceptionally pleased.

Hey Red. Can I hear some clips of your resonated TPs? As for HFCs, I have Berks and can say they're good too. I feel a difference in how they perform on the car before and after they were installed.

I just had them put in earlier this week and can vouch for them as well. You may want to check into those if you're willing to look at an alternative to the FI ones.

Here are some clips

Start up and drive clip (closed windows)

-Ignore the strange noises my camera picked up.. I have no idea where they came from...I don't have a radar or electronic device etc that makes those noises???

Another driving down the road clip (windows open this time)

<embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://photobucket.com/flash/player.swf?file=http://s313.photobucket.com/albums/ll365/tiguy99/Berk HFC clips/MOV00404.flv"></embed>

and a random clip of a 350z with Berk HFCs reving

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/5sDInX2TX-Y&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=pl ayer_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/5sDInX2TX-Y&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=pl ayer_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

The exhaust is still stock for now. It may be even better once I add an aftermarket one

Best part of all... no Check Engine Light!!!!
