oh man. you're gonna get flamed on this one. when it comes to "better" with intakes the answer is personal preference. neither make any power gains so it is purely a sound mod. you will get no consensus here. in fact you'll probably wish you never asked the question...

i suggest browsing/searching the intake tech forum and do some research. many people prefer the oem intake box combined with a z-tube & drop in aftermarket reusable filter.

 

First of all, the short ram is going to do nothing but suck hot air......that should be good for at least -5 to -10 whp........

If your car is an 03-04, an 05/06 airbox combined with an aftermarket drop-in and a z-tube is a great upgrade!

 

Dude, seriously save yourself the money and headache.

At most, upgrade to an '06 airbox and z-tube. I wouldn't even mess with a K&N filter.
