Hahaha...thats awesome! Its right up there with the "leafblower" turbos people put on their cars. If you havent seen it...youtube it....great stuff. Buy a real mod with the 400 bucks my friend.

damn the wheat grass should give me some nice gains. all tht green air should really help with the low end. Yea i might have to go to Raplph, cause it might take a while to install it, and it kinda looks hard

 

i can't see any reason why this wouldn't work. makes total sense to me and looks totally legit.

 

I can't believe I wasted $20K on my Greddy TT when I could have saved the money and bought the leaf blower turbo!!!

 

I heard that if you rigged up a kick a$$ leaf blower you can actually get 1-2% increase in hp. Now compare a powerful leafblower to that tiny fan which could barely blow a sheet of paper off the floor. If you watch the video, they show how their impeller can slowly spin the blades of a room fan from a couple feet away. This is no where near the power required to make any boost in a real car. They would need a much larger electric motor producing somewhere around 30 kilowatts or 40 hp. You would have to cram your car full of batteries to handle it.

 

This could be legit. I've seen a video where a Honda did a baseline, then they took off the airfilter and, as a joke, shoved an huge leaf-blower into the intake system and, I recall, it produced a significant amount of additional power.

On an episode of Pass-Time some schlub embarrassed the VQ community with his 350Z… those that watch the show know how it goes: 3 contestants ask questions about the car then guess the ¼ mile ET… this tard says he has an electric super charger (I’m guessing the same type of thing in the OP here)… and claims 300 hp… when the house contestant asks “is that 300 to the crank or the wheels” the Z owner admits he really doesn’t know what he putting down

Then the jack@ss runs a 15+!!!

Moral of story = this electric fan is not going to win any races.
