The thing is... many people don't understand how much power it takes to create boost. So watching a video of a fan blowing about the same as a hairdryer may mislead some into thinking that this would actually create positive pressure over what the engine is sucking in.

I bet sticking that fan in your intake is just gonna get in the way and slow airflow down. Even if the fan could keep up, there's no way it would have enough power to create boost.

Take a small fan like that and hold it outside your window at highway speeds. Now even if this stupid product could even spin faster, creating more airflow than that, there is no way it could possibly spin fast enough to create a pressure gradient causing any significant amount of air to be pulled in.

There is no way this can create a significant amount of boost. This is a total pos product and a waste of energy even discussing as a possibility. But if someone does decide to throw down the hundreds and dyno their car before and after, please do share.

Of course it doesn't "create" air, but it might help move more air in the engine, more air = more power IF more fuel is also added. Stock ECU's only can adjust over a limited range, that's why FI guys have to do some sort of fuel management
No, it's not the ECU, it's the amount of fuel that the can be delivered by the fuel system. However, when people increase the capabilities of delivery by the fuel system the ECU cannot account for it because the ECU believes that the fuel system is delivering X amount of fuel via stock components. Thus, piggyback systems, and other "fuel management" systems, are there to trick the ECU in thinking there is LESS air, thus retarding the amount fuel being delivered.

Additionally, like others are saying, there's no way that an electric fan is going to create enough additional air to put OEM fuel systems in check.

*put's on flame-proof suit*

I've seen one of these work first hand...

*takes off flame-proof suit*

But it was on a 50cc pocket bike. We looked up the CFM of a ducted fan and then figured the volume of air the 50cc engine would use at a given RPM did the math and figured it would work and amazingly enough it did. You could be going along on the bike and flip a switch and actually feel the thing gain power.
Me and a couple of guys spent all day abusing the poor bike on timed runs. Managed to get it quite a lot faster than it was by combining the ducted fan with ether. At one point we were trying to figure out why it had been running strange on the last couple of runs, only to realize we had run it entirely out of fuel and the last 2 runs had been entirely on ether! I still can't believe we didn't kill that motor.
So moral of the story: This type of mod did work on a 50cc engine, however, it really needed 2 fans. The engine in a G35 is 3500cc. So that's 3500cc/50cc=70*2(fans per 50cc) = 140 fans to see any tangible difference on a G35... good luck ducting all that :P

You guys are right, a little fan can't do anything.
But wait...

That's funny, bet the poor ECM had no idea what wass going on. I would like to see a wideband on the chart, I bet it was all over the place! Also, IDK if those guys are brave or stupid holding a bottle of highly compressed gas that close to an engine you may be about to blow.

"Will it void my warranty?
No! This part can be installed and removed usually within 30 minutes or less. It also will not void your warranty because by law your dealer cannot void warranties because of installed aftermarket products."

lol

They still detune the engine of most cars to some extent..
