HR y-pipe installed!!! W/sound clips!!! My review!!

I have been experiencing and reading up on the discussions about the HR Y-pipe on our cars with the stock exhaust and sound differences etc....

Anyways to make a long story short I picked up a HR Y-pipe and it came in the mail today. I installed it this evening. In the vids they are really quick and short sorry for that...I would get a more lengthly one but it was 10:00 at night and didnt want to wake the neighbors with the reving of the engines.

With that being said..my reviews are as follow.

1. The first impression visually of the y-pipe compared to our stock one is a great improvement!
2. I have read that it creates a lower end torque and alittle more power that you can feel. I would say its knock you back power but you can feel it paired with the correct mods.
3. Sound - you can be the judge by the sound clips but I think it sounds deeper and IMO better than the nismo because its deeper. I do have kinetix HFC's 300 Cell installed as well just as an f.y.i.

Just so everyone knows I picked up a Nismo Z's exhaust as well and I will be installing the muffler once I receive it!!! its the same setup as the regular nismo exhaust but has the special upgraded 4.5' tips with nismo im-printed on them. I will have pics and a sound-clip once installed.

Lets get started with the clips and pics.

here are the comparison's to our stock y-pipe.

Stock exhaust with Kinetix HFC's. (turn up the volume some)

Stock exhaust with HR Y-pipe added and Kinetnx HFC's

nothing yet...I want to have the car dynoed after I get the nismo muffler installed.

But as far a performance gains..I can actually chirp through Second (5at) with a GTM VB upgrade and it does feel like I have more torque along with quicker acceleration.

yeah the black circles take away the rattle of the y Pipe and create a balance for it. They dont do anything else. Its not longer at all....Its the exact same length just totally different design..I physically have the Y pipe installed in the second vid from the first vid. It took me all of 30 mins tops to switch them.

The black things on each side are dynamic vibration absorbers. They move out of sync at the natural frequency of the exhaust shaking(think of a tuning fork vibrating). This damps the exhaust shake you get on some cheaper cars when you hit a bump or take off fast and get a little driveline shake.

performance will be alittle noticeable with torque because of the different design of the y-pipe. the sound shold be alitlte louder but deeper. I got mine for 80 shipped.

I believe the Y pipe should be fine because its the mid pipes that are diffrent links from the G's to the Z's...but why would you be trading for an 07 Y pipe?? I didnt think those were the HR's yet...or are you just doing it for the heck of it?
