Fast Intentions exh. installed

Hey guys and gals. Just wanted to say that I installed my FI exh. system on friday.

All I can say is WOW!

This has to be the best fitting aftermarket exh. I have ever installed. ( and I have done a few). The instructions were extremely clear and easy to follow. And the fitment was perfect.

The sound of this thing is great. At idle it is very quite. I think it may even be quiter then stock. Taking off it is throatier then stock and alittle louder. But not too loud. Cruising is very quite. And WOT is awsome.

The install took me right at an hour. I did use a lift, but only used hand tools.

Tony at FI was very helpful and answered any questions I had when ordering.

I will be doing a DIY install article shortly.

I installed mine last week and you're right it fits perfectly. I was lucky enough to have a lift, but the install is cake. I may also be ordering the FI HFC's but I haven't decided yet. I will say that on the highway this exhaust is fairly quite, but around town it has a pretty high drone inside the car. It makes it difficult to talk on the which is how I conduct business. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and absolutely love the FI exhaust.

Idle and hwy speeds seems quilter then stock. I agree it does tend to drone at some rpms in town. Seems to be worse at 2500rpm. I just either shift to a higher or lower gear depending on the traffic.

I'm actually thinking about getting this exhaust but they haven't answered my PM's. Did you go with the carbon fiber or stainless steel? How long did it take to ship to you since you ordered it because I heard some peoples took 5 weeks.

I can't say because I also did a 5/16 spacer, MREV2, Z-tube and drop in filter all about the same time.

From inside the car with stock cats, sure it can "seem" quieter or just as quiet, but trust me it is no way as quiet as stock in any driving condition other than idle. Maybe witht he 1st version with the bigger oval mufflers.

Call them directly and talk to Tony. It was a 3 week build time on mine. And then a week for it to get to me.

Tony told me that in the summer months it can be up to a 5-6 week build time.

As for how much power. They dyno'd a stock 350Z and it make 11 rwhp and 9 rwtq. Check out thier site. They have the dyno graphs and sound clips.

I ordered the original Intimidator system w/ the oval mufflers. Not a fan of the ricey round mufflers.

So this exhaust does drone? This is going to be my DD for a while till I get my IS.. I don't want it to be so loud that I can't hold a convo in the car.. How annoying is it really w/ in town driving.. I don't have to drive on highways at all to get to work and back home daily, so around town is where I drive most..
