NISMO vs. FUJITSUBO

I know this dicussion about these 2 exhausts are old but I am in a real dilemma. I currently have the borla TD for the coupe and want to change to either nismo or fujitsubo (with y pipe)
I was wondering if any of you with these exhausts can give me some feedback?
My main question is which is louder? ppl say nismo is but I am not sure..
I kno nismo has fitment issues but I will be getting a 10 inch extension which sounds like it will make the tips stick out..

all in all.. what should I get?

Curious why you're not happy with the Borla???

Re: NISMO vs. FUJITSUBO

I know the coupe Borla is much different than the sedan but ...
I actually have the oposite problem. I'm installing sound dampening to tone my Borla down a bit.
My main problem is the droning at about 1800 rpm.
Overall sound is great, I would say a little louder than the stock coupe.

Re: NISMO vs. FUJITSUBO

Will the 10" extension even work? I know you need a 6" extension between the midpipe and muffler so that the hanger locations will meet up, but if you added another 4" at that point how would you hook up the exhaust?

Will you be cutting/welding?

The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!

Re: NISMO vs. FUJITSUBO

id use the 6" midpipe extension (easy bolt-on), and have the shop cut and re-weld the tips to your satisfaction (or replace them altogether)....

SFLg35 came over this way, and had my local muffler performance shop take a 350Z-made invidia catback system fit the coupe very nicely..... took an extension piece for the midpipe (welded in, midstream on the invidia midpipe), and left the tips as-si (they seemed to be perfect as they were, matching up nicely with the end of the bumper)..

Re: NISMO vs. FUJITSUBO

intersting.. i just don't want to go through the hassle of welding and etc.. that is what makes the fujitsubo more appealing.. do you guys know if the fuji is also louder then nismo?

Re: NISMO vs. FUJITSUBO

Get the Impul... kind of pricey, but you'd be pimp and original.

Re: NISMO vs. FUJITSUBO

I've been told by two different vendors that the only difference between the Nismo and the Fujitsubo is the 6" of midpipe length and the tips length. They should sound identically to the human ear.
