Go into the shop and ask them to pull up the exhaust schematic for your car. Show him the mid pipe, tell him to chop that out and replace it with the magnaflow. Most places sell magna, so just get them to order it. It'll be done for $200 or less most likely.

Grave diggin!

Pretty spendy for just a middy, but polished stainless would be somewhat unique on the board, that's true.

Ok, so swivelhips, you have a 350z middy... Would that be a better option over this Magna custom deal? I can get a 350z middy pretty cheap on craigslist or ebay. I don't want to cut my exhaust - I want something that just bolts up, has more of that beefy 350z sound, and has little drone. I know I may have to modify a 350z middy to get it to fit on my 06 sedan, but couldn't I just have the shop extend it, then bolt it up?

Isaac, that's correct. I believe you need about a 6" extension. (Chime in on that Wayne) but you won't notice as much of a difference since you have an 06. 05 and 06 sedans have a pretty similar mid pipes to the coupe/Z. But yes, Z mid pipe will work for your car with a slight extension!

Up to you though, check out the exhaust compilation. For your 06 a cool experiment would be to do the magnaflow to see if it sounds much different than your OEM mid pipe.

Anyways good luck man.

I wouldn't say it's better, it's exactly the same resonator as the coupe middy so I would say just get one of those since it bolts right on. I just had mine cut and extended because I found one before than I could a coupe unit. But 4DGS is right, it won't make as much difference on your 06 system since it has a bit bigger muffler than my (our) 03's. Now if you follow up with a nice HKS rear section...

That said, I'd encourage anyone to do something nobody else has done before!
