Bad Fast Int. Catalytic Converter!?!

Ok, so my "Service Engine Soon" light/indicator came on two (2), nights ago, namely June 9th.

I just had a buddy that works in a service dept. at a dealership (non-nissan/infiniti) run a diagnostic and code: P0430 (Bank 2), came up which, according to him means that one of the catalytic converters is "bad"...

I had Fast Intentions High Flow Cats installed about 3 months ago and cant believe it went "bad" already!!!

Paid way too much $ for that to happen...Any ideas of what exactly the aforementioned code indicates or what I should do next???

Any help is greatly appreciated as I really dont have the cash to shell out for a big repair/new cat at the moment...so thanks in advance!

Have you considered calling Tony @ FI? He'll take care of you.

I called Fast Intentions and they advised that it is more than likely just fine. Apparently, the ECU sometimes reads the air flow/02 sensor incorrectly due to tthe location of the 02 sensor, or something to that effect anyway.

Their explanation made allot of sense and they even have a small part that will fix it, if necessary I believe. In any event, I had the code cleared out and my warning light turned off, so far no problems and the cats still sound great!!!

Regardless, I highly recomend the FI set up as I am in love with the sound!!!

...Which is even better with a z-tube and pop-charger!
