g35 coupe exhaust note

Was wondering if the 03-07 coupe's exhaust note is more noticeable at idle and lower speeds compared to the 07-08 g35 sedan, thanks.

You'd have to find someone that has one of each to get a opinion, but that's all it would be. The systems are different from factory but my guess would be the coupe would have more growl cause the sedan is a family type ride and isn't noisy until provoked....

Yeah, that's what I was thinking as well I was next to my friends 05 coupe and noticed it was noticeably louder than my 07 sedan.

From personal experience, I can't remember ever hearing the sedan's exhaust, at idle or at low rpms. But I do hear the coupe. At higher rpms the sedan's exhaust might have been louder, but I probably wasnt paying attention.

both sound the same at idle except that the coupe i have is MT and you can hear the flywheel chatter..on light low rev acceleration, the exhaust is more noticeable in the coupe between 1k and 2k rpm, but when both exhaust are warmed up (sound changes in the coupe when warm), the engine noise(dual intakes) in the sedan between 2k and 3k overpowers the very quiet exhaust and engine noise in the coupe...between 3k and 4k the coupe hits the sweet spot and is very noticeably louder than the sedan but after that both exhaust dont make more than a groan so at that point the sedan gets louder because of the intakes.
the coupe is better though because it has much less body lean and in the case of the 2 i have the coupe also has much tighter seats

I know that my 04 Coupe has more growl that my 05 Sedan.
But, that can be fixed with some $$$, however the wifie likes how her sedan sounds.

the 2g sedans are dead quiet compared to the g35c in idle and the low rpms and this is coming from first hand experience. i think this was where infiniti tried to make the 2g sedans more of a luxury car than a sports car. to redline in first gear .. it seemed like it could be ALOT louder for all that performance. im pretty sure its not the same sound MAYBE similiar i dont remember that clearly but i just know it was way way too quiet. thats what aftermarket intakes and exhausts are for (=

i cant say either car sounds louder at idle when they're both warmed up since both are quiet..on a cold start however, the coupe is louder. the coupe stays louder up until 4k rpm where the coupe's exhaust note kind of dies into just noise. as far as above, i always thought the new sedan was pretty loud but i have a JWT on my coupe now so i really couldn't say since the coupe is now noticeably louder at high rpms..and to wheaton, i'd rather have an aftermarket exhaust to open up the sound a bit..maybe Nismo or Billy Boat
