Kinetix cats.

Hey everybody,

I'm looking to buy some Kinetix cats for my G, but have not been able to find any one that is selling them in San Diego. Anybody have any info for SD? Or if your selling yours and they are in good condition...... Any way, let me know if you have any info. Oh yeah, I tried calling Kinetix to have them give me some dealers they work with, or even to purchase straight through them, but never got through on the phone.

Thanks,

Ray

Re: Kinetix cats.

I disagree with Lowrider's statement. I did a lot of research before I bought my cats and I ended up with Kinetix. BTW, the website is www.kinetixracing.com and they are the only place you can buy them. Crawfords are known for being raspy and for there cones blowing out (along with RT). As far as fitment, my cats slipped right on and were very easy to install (that top bolt's a #%^%^ to get too though. But you'll find that out with any system you go with. Just my $.02

Re: Kinetix cats.

Randy is dead wrong!!! There has never ever been one documented case of the Crawfords blowing out their innards as the RTs have. Also, where did he get the idea that they're raspy? There are not. This is how misinformation gets started. Let's stop it here and now.

Re: Kinetix cats.

Documented, maybe not. But, I've heard in person their raspiness and spoke to a G owner at LACR (he was from San Diego...if you read this thread, speak up) who told me he replaced his Crawfords and found that the cone had blown out of one side and was lodged in his exhaust system. So, I'm not DEAD wrong and before you make blanket statements, know what you're talking about.

Re: Kinetix cats.

Mr.

You are dead wrong. I have them, and have for quite some time now. There are not raspy - Trust me - If they were I certainly wouldn't hide it. Do they make more noise, Yep they do, but it's a deep rumble, not a rasp. As far as them falling apart, you "heard" about one???? I haven't heard or read about any. I do know what I'm talking about. The question is, do you?

BTW, the poor fitment of the Kinetix cats is well documented. So well documented, that lsdunique came out and said (on my 350z.com) that there was a problem with his jigs and fixtures, and that he got it straightened out. They admitted there was a problem with their cats, as well as their plenum.

I didn't say I "Heard"...I was TOLD by an owner...your flagrant connotations are ignorant and agenda based.

Looks up and JimTheGreek is knocked out by a flying stage 3 pulley!

I didn't mean for this to turn into this kind of conversation. I was merely trying to convey my personal experiences and accounts and I was attacked by being called a liar. How do you tell someone there opinion is a lie?

Re: Kinetix cats.

Ouch guys! The playing got a little rough ... Hehe!

Anyway, back to RazorX35's questions ...
As the matter of fact, I have a pair of brand new Kinetix cats that I just recieved yesterday and is considering selling them (check your PM RazorX35). I've decided to go resonated test pipe ... I wonder if Kinetix would allow a trade?

Undecided mind ... don't you hate that!?!?

Re: Kinetix cats.

Cool! Then I'll just have to buy the plenum. Should be about the same price as if I bought both.

Re: Kinetix cats.

the kinetix are kick *** and no rasp at all. slight mod to your heat shield if you have the sedan, but thats for all cats. ive heard that the crawford and kinetix are about the same. there is no evidence to support either claim that one is better than the other so far. no bench flows, dynos cant really tell 1-2 hp diference, etc. so, either way is good...hehehe but crawford costs a griiiippp.

if you want mine, ill sell em to you for 3 bills in LA. wanna try something new. hehehe wink wink. and screw the cops. they can kiss my fume blowing ***.
