You can also keep your muffler, get a 350z HR Y pipe, a coupe midpipe and some nice tips. You'll get a nice growl for less than $300. You will even have some left for HFC. Good luck!

I got my 05 sedan midpipe for $80 and HKS rear section muffler for $275. Budgeted parts but they are both in excellent used condition at the time of purchase, and the installed parts have yielded a nice deep exhaust growl, especially between 1st-2nd and 2nd-3rd gears.

Yes, the 03-04 sedan midpipe is different from the 05-06 sedan midpipe. If you could get your hands on either the coupe middy or 05-06 sedan middy you'd be golden.

This set up will not net gains, only sound.

So for someone that doesnt have much experience with exhaust installation would the coupe midpipe be a tough install? Also do u guys think i wil have any luck with searching through salvage yards for one or should i wait for one to come up on the marketplace.

To be honest, that doesn't sound great to me. Bolt on the coupe middy, it's easy, and take it from there. Here's one:

40 bucks for the one in the link isn't bad. Watch the marketplace, local Kijiji, etc., they come up occasionally.
