Which exhaust should I get?

I recently blew my muffler and am in the market for a new muffler or even the whole exhaust system at a good price. Can anyone recommend anything thats not ridicously loud? I'd like the OEM sedan or even coupe sound. I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan. So far after days of searching through youtube, I like the stillens the best. Thanks!

HR Y pipe, coupe middy, and HKS. All can be had for around 400 bucks used. Best sounding exhaust IMHO.

On a budget HR-Y, c-middy and HKS is your best bet. Otherwise Stillen or Motordyne

Does the car need to be tuned after doing you recommended upgrades?

1. Stillen Gen 2 exhaust, as i have this one, and it does give you good gains.
2. Motordyne- top notch quality, havent seen too many numbers, so thats why i would say this is my second choice!

3. Tuning will definetly give you much better gains, but u need more mods like spacer, exhaust, hfc/testpipes for it to be worth it.

You can tune at any time. If you're gonna do other upgrades though, do those first.

Motordyne sounds better than the HR y-pipe, coupe MP, and HKS muffler. I have had both. It also performs a hell of a lot better. That stock mid-pipe is a crush bend and effective ID is around 2.25" or maybe even less. MD exhaust is a 3" full mandrel bend and is so much better.

MD, Stillen, Borla or HKS rear.
