Megan Long Tubes.

They are not unless you want to have a full exhaust. A lot of the guys here have them and they said that they are not worth the money or headaches. They do not give you a big gain in power if any gain at all. Just my .02

Has anyone tested the megan long tubes? I know there was a guy who made custom long tubes on a 350z and his gains were very impressive but don't know how they compare to the megan headers

Supposely Crawford, Tomei Headers, and Long tube headers are good. They work better with cams. A tune afterwards wouldn't be bad either.

I have Nismo, and they are excellent quality

Wouldn't running regular headers with test pipes be the same as long tube headers? Just curious.

Don no it is not the same, long tube or equal length headers are far superior to shortie style headers. Headers are definatly good for the motor and will provide good gains, its just the install sucks on them, and most people are not going to tackle it themself so the install can be almost as much as the header.

avoid crawford headers - the installation cost is killer. the engine has to be jacked up for the headers to fit, that's about 6-8 hours of labor alone. performance-wise, though, crawford headers are the best. stillen headers are also great.

I think headers are worth it if you can get the install cost for a really good deal..also if you really want to fully build up performance, prob a good idea...after a tune, it'll make a difference...it's just whether you're willing to spend the several hundred, bout half a grand to install them, some may charge a tad less, some more, but from what I've heard it's a 4-5 hr job and pain in the neck.

i have a greddy evo 2 cat back and i was looking at Stillen headers and high flow cats from stillen i wanna purchase at the end of the month. Is it worth even doing?? i mean how does the exhaust sound quality change? still have that nice purr that g's do. or am i going to be driving a fart can factory?? also the guy said i need to reflash my ecu, and told me to purchase a cobb accessport 2 is it worth it?? im so lost haha
