I bought the pop charger brand new about 3 years ago. Recently this year I started to notice that the black rubber that goes around the heat shield is starting to come off. I was wondering is anybody else is having this issue and is there a way to fix it

you could maybe what I used. Its a sponge-like rubber that is used to wrap around pipes. I got a 5ft strip of it at Lowe's for like $3. It has a double sided tape deal on it so its ready to stick. Scroll to the bottom of this thread and you'll see what Im talking about https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-...ce-intake.html

Always a good idea to actually measure the air temperature inside filter [before maf] as many of these so called cold air packages are really HOTTER air than oem system.

Remember each 11F increase decreases power by 1%. The 1% restriction a cone saves is easily used up and WORSE by defective Cold air.

The heat and being in the dry conditions of the engine bay over time will do that to it.

Im Trying To FInd A Fix For This, Right Now As We Speak, Its Gotten Bad Enough To Where The Foam Meets From The Airbox TO The Shield Its Basically Lost Its Connection, Kinda Thinking About Removing The Heatshield As Is Really Doesn't Do Anything To Help Block Heat,

Mine completely disintegrated. All that was left was the edges. I imagine the rest is somewhere on the highway or the dealer tore it off when servicing it (another story). I called JWT and spoke with Ben Pila. He sent me the full set, all 4 trim pieces for $22 shipped (comes through regular mail).

Either send JWT an email from their website or call their number and ask for Ben. He's their internet sales rep from what i gathered.
