Side Exit Ehaust

Has anyone done or even seen an exhaust for the coupe that exits on the side, through the rocker panel, just in front of the rear wheels?

Cool concept... but it will be annoying lol. Especially the exhaust is exiting on the driver/passenger side. I've rode on some mustangs with side exit exhausts. It was neat at first but gets annoying after a while.

with a decent tip it might look OK... but I would definitely do it with aftermarket sideskirts since it gives you more of a drop

and obviously the only way to do it to look decent would be to go through the rocker panel

Yes, It would definitely have to go through the rockerpanel to look good. Eixiting right in front of the rearwheel would prevent burning and cut some of the sound.

That looks terrible! Maybe stealth mounted by the rear wheel yes, but must realize that this is a trait of a classic muscle car, not an import.

Wait is that single or dual exhaust? If its a single notice how its not on the driver side of that RHD Z.....

If its a dual, it think it would be a bad idea to wear shorts & sandals while driving this thing

It just doesnt look right IMO.. It probably wouldn't sound to great either..

Maybe if you had an LS1 or a VK56 motor swapped then yeah..

One time my friend had his G on the lift and i was checking out his kenstyle rear.. I though it would be cool if the exhaust exited thought those vents the kenstyle had.. Would take quite a bit of work though and probably cause some power loss.

That dual exhaust setup is one step below open headers, with the db level they'd give there's no way this is a street car. This is a purpose built track car.
