Fujitsubo installed...

Big Fuji box showed up on my doorstep and I managed to get it installed today.

Gotta say that I'm pretty happy with it. The sound is deep but only a bit louder than stock. Performance seems to have increased, but it could just be that placebo affect.

Some pics

I might even be able to get used to the tips. Overall, I gotta say that it was well worth the money.

Re: Fujitsubo installed...

I heard a Fujitsubo on a G35c and it sounded practically the same as stock. When you say that it is a bit "deep" and "a bit louder", is that mostly under heavy acceleration?

Re: Fujitsubo installed...

Both actually. At startup there is a nice little rumble that just makes you want to smile, turn off the car and start it again. At idle it is noticeably lower, but not much louder. Wide open it is also lower, but volume (in the cab) is about the same as stock. I haven't really heard it from outside yet, I'd need to get someone to drive it by me as I stood there. I'm not a fan of loud exhausts, so the Fuji fits me perfectly. I'm still thinking about high flow cats though.

I took it and worked it out a little this morning on the way to work. It "seemed" to rev faster. Which is to say that in MM I was at redline before I expected to be. I thought that was kind of cool. I'm probably going to go and get it dynoed, but I want to find someone with a stock 5at to go and get theirs done at the same time so I can use it as a comparison.

Did the coupe you heard have the Y pipe installed?

"Did the coupe you heard have the Y pipe installed?"

No, I don't think it did. It was very quiet as far as I could tell, practically the same as stock.
