Those numbers seem pretty low for a dynapack....then again, all dynos are different. But congrats on your new pipes, hope you get everything fixed up. I'm sure you'll make more power once everything's running properly.

I posted this up on my350z, but forgot to post it here lol.

The only changes to my car since then are swapping my gamma axle back to the shockwave v2 axle back, and my hfc's to my ART pipes. I know, I know, you can't really compare that run back then to this run this morning, since it's on different days and whatnot, but it's there just for a little reference.

The car feels like it revs fast than before, especially in 2nd or 3rd gear from 2k-4k.
I've asked Shawn to chime in this thread to clarify a few things, hopefully he will when he has some time.

And here's Shawn's post:

Keep in mind that on the Dynapack, torque converter slippage can skew low rpm measurements somewhat (since the engine rpm goes up, but Dynapack measure hub rpm which does not during converter slip). However, you'll note that all three runs were done in the same way and the ART pipes, even before retuning (adding more cam advance) had an advantage already.

Interestingly enough, we did not see any high rpm power advantages before retuning. However, warm air intakes (any underhood open filter) can be a real PITA when it comes to correction factors since they're always sucking warm air even on cold days. Either way, I'm very impressed with the results. I had a chance to see some of Tony's early work on the ART setup and it looks like he's really made it perform.

p.s. - I'd really love to see them on a manual tranny so we can dyno from 1500 rpm or lower without converter slip

Hey all,

This is a great part and I'm really considering buying a set come summer. However, can someone explain to me what a "wideband" is exactly? I'm just somewhat confused since there is a bung on the ART pipes for an O2 sensor. I could just be confused. Thanks in advance!

do a search on wideband O2 sensor... They give you a readout of what your A/F ratios are at any given time. normally hooked up to a digital display so you can monitor them.

I would really like a set of these pipes...IF ONLY...

After reading ten pages and not finding my answer Im just going to go ahead and ask it.
Where exactly does the ART pipes bolt to? If i get a resonated xyz pipe and a full catback exhaust, will the ART pipes be an additional mod to the exhuast setup or will it replace a part of the xyz or catback system>? I feel like there are so many parts to the exhaust leaving the engine, can someone just clarify what they all are

Even if there are unpolished pipes it will only be like 30 bucks off the original price.

umm... do you know what a "CAT" is when referring to "catback"?

these are test pipes which replace your stock CATalytic Converters. these would be right before your "catback exhaust".

Great post. The dyno seems a little low for Shawn's dyno. Is it because of AT or non Revup? I made 283hp untuned and 292.7 hp tuned. My tq jumped big time too. I know, I know, different days...

How much did Shawn charge for the retune? I need to get my new motor re-tuned in addition to ART's when I get them.

Any dyno's yet vs regular test pipes? Sorry if I missed it.

Because of both haha, nice numbers. The retune was $180, if I remember correctly.

Yes. $585 without the polish. I will be getting a new production run on them completed shortly.

^^^ $75 savings - that's significant!

Kudos for Tony listening to consumers wishes and making it happen
