I'm trying out some longtubes made for the DE. I will keep everyone posted in a few weeks there will be a same day before and after dyno.

The headers are stepped from 1 3/4 to 1 7/8. The manifolds in the pics are my stock ones I sent them so they can get the flanges right for the DE.

I will be comparing these to my current set-up of momentum headers and MD ART pipes.

The dyno to be used will be a dynojet on which my 5AT has put down 265hp there will be a track comparison also.

Best time with my current set-up is 13.147@107

this is really interesting to me personally, as i have a completely stock exhaust and have been contemplating the momentum header/art pipe route. were you putting down 265rwhp with the momentum headers and art pipes? this is a non-rev-up i assume? also, what exhaust were you using with this setup? who makes the new headers?? i want to hear more about this!!

Those headers look good, do you know what kind of merge collector are used. That ceramic coating looks good. I have the black Fireball ones on my SGM LTH and they started coming off already.

The headers use a racing merge collector similar to burns from what they told me.

The company that makes them is PPE Engineering they have headers for the 370z for $850 without coating so these should be similar.

I have the invidia Gemini exhaust and I wouldn't get the momentum headers (expensive) unless you plan to get their turbo kit I bought mine with the intention of getting their kit but changed my mind.

The coating I think is jethot sterling coat for 1200*. I'll ask on Monday. Hopefully these will perform, but like SG tests I think only revups and cammed cars will benefit. So these will be good for built NA guys. They are also making catted headers.

I have recently installed JWT S1 cams which I'm currently untuned for.

The plan is to baseline untuned, install headers, dyno again to compare, and then tune for the cams and LTH. Hopefully same day.

I'll take pics when I receive them on Tuesday.

I'm non rev I put down 265hp with headers, Art pipes, ported lower plenum and collector, md 1/2 spacer and invidia Gemini exhaust. Probably would of been higher with a 6mt.

The ported plenum gave me almost 15 hp.

Momentum headers are good but expensive for 8-10 hp. The red line is after the ported plenum and 1/2 spacer

how are the numbers with headers and test pipes (or hfc) compared to long tube cats?

gab3d did a test and it showed gains over tomei headers and ART pipes using SG longtube headers.

Gab3d can you post that dyno sheet here if you still have it? I will make a separate thread in the next couple weeks on the headers with dynos and hopefully 12 sec track times N/A.

Don't know I'll ask they already make LTHs for the 370z. The headers gained 23hp on a stock nismo 370z.

Which is good because they already have OEM shorty style headers like the HR.

I sent them an email to see if they'll put the VQ35DE LT headers into production...I'd buy a set.

I will ask tomorrow as stated before. I pretty sure there will be gains they are definitely of a better quality than Megan's which is our only LTH choice.

The dyno will be done in 2wks. The only difference with my non rev is that I have JWT S1 cams so my test will benefit the rev-up and built NA guys that can play with cam timing more.

I just talked to Paul from PPE they want to make sure there are no fitment issues first before production. The set I have is the very 1st and only set for the DE. I sent them my stock parts (in the pics) to ensure the flanges were right for us.

The only flanges they had to go off of was for the 370z which would of posed a problem for us DE folk.

If they can fit on my 5AT with no problems then there should be no issues with a 6mt. I will find out on the 14th.

The coating is jethot extreme sterling for 1300*. I will take detailed pictures when I receive them tomorrow I will make another thread with pics and updates.

These are the sgm headers vs the tomei v2 + ART pipes. The PPE sounds similar in design but not exactly sure on how long the length of the stepped primary length are (total and when they step) and if the merge collector is truly like the burns collector like the sgm, otherwise the performance should be very similar. The PPE price is killer if they can make them for that much.

Dss, are there any comps between the fast intentions and the PPE on the vhr?
